look after your reader

at your service

Today very briefly, just a piece of advice. This one goes out to all the blog authors among my readers: care for your readers! (or don't show that you don't care...)

A very basic, yet not obvious example is the RSS feed: If you're refactoring your blog, implementing a new technology, changing publishing engine, whatever, it happens you want or have to change your RSS feed URL.

Then, please do me a favour, and announce the change on the old URI! Because all your readers will notice is -- the big, white, empty nothing when checking the old URI. And nothing is damn hard to be noticed!

Did he thinks about the change of the URI to the puerro.net RSS Feed when he was writing this?

I am not sure ;-)

Well, I thought if I'm gonna be more explicit than this, it would be rude. But You got the point. Good boy!
